My last stop before I returned home, was in Asia and is Tokyo, Japan. From Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Tokyo, Japan, the distance travelled is approximately 5318.76 Km. I was visiting Tokyo from July 26th - 31st, 2012. The flight time is 7 hours and 10 minutes flown direct. the cost for this is approximately $442 for a one way trip from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Tokyo, Japan.
While Visiting Tokyo, I stayed at the Grand Pacific Le Daiba Hotel, at a price of $278 per night. This hotel features an Elegant European style and also has shops directly under the hotel.
While staying in Tokyo, I encountered the Meiji Jingu. This is two, large gate frames that are very religious in Buddhism. It is believed that if you stand between the two gates, that you will feel spiritual energy that cannot be ignored. I for one, can say I have experienced that theory. The shrine itself is not too large, but if you pay attention to detail on the walls or roof, you will see how beautiful it is.
One of the interesting places I visited was the Tsukiji Market. You have not experienced the Japanese culture until you have been to a Japanese fish market. After witnessing all the fish they have at the market, it is amazing that there is anything left in the sea! The size of the market is huge and the quantity and variety is amazing. It was a great cultural experience and is strongly recommended.
While in Tokyo, the only way to see ALL of Tokyo is from the Tokyo Sky Tree. This tower has amazing views of Tokyo and you may even sit down and have dinner if you wish and take in the beautiful scene.
No stay is complete without a little shopping, so I visited the Shibuya Center Town. This is like Times Square in New York with so much stuff to do and see. It is one of the busiest places in Tokyo and is famous for crossings where thousands cross the roads at the same time. It really made me feel like I was in New York, and New York is one of my favourite places to visit. Needless to say, Shibuya Center Town was amazing.
