South America

Nassau, Bahamas

The first destination on my dream trip is located in South America and is the Nassau, Bahamas. From Mississauga, Canada, to Nassau, Bahamas, the distance travelled is approximately 2017 Km. I was visiting the Nassau, Bahamas for the week of June 1st - 8th, 2012. The flight was 3 hours and 9 minutes with no stops, and costs approximately $210 for a one way flight from Mississauga, Canada to Nassau, Bahamas.

British Colonial Hilton Nassau Room

British Colonial Hilton Nassau Room

While staying in Nassau, I stayed at the British Colonial Hilton Nassau Hotel at a price of $249 per night. The room was beautiful and included a harbor view. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and luxurious for the price paid. I was very pleased with their service and my stay.

Christ Church Cathedral

Christ Church Cathedral

While visiting, there were many places and things i wanted to tour. I toured Christ Church Cathedral which is one of the most beautiful, well-kept churched you will ever encounter and is a must see.

Queen's Staircase

Queen's Staircase

Another must see landmark is the Queen's Staircase. This limestone staircase was built by slaves to honour Queen Victoria's help in the abolition of slavery in the Bahamas.

Mini Sub Adventure

Mini Sub Adventure

One cool activity I did that I will never forget and do recommend, is the Mini Sub Adventure. You are given your own personal submarine that some call underwater motor-scooters, and you cruise below the surface of the water that allows you to enjoy the colourful coral reefs and sea animals of the Caribbean. There is really nothing like it!

Parasailing

Parasailing

Parasailing is another adventure I tried, and you just gain a new perspective and love for nature. You sail over the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and the coastline of Nassau.
